Lake Peipus

Lake Peipus is the largest transboundary lake in Europe, situated on the border between Estonia and Russia. It ranks as the fifth-largest in Europe, following Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega in Russia, Lake Vänern in Sweden, and Lake Saimaa in Finland. In Estonia, the lake is located near the city of Tartu, covering a territory of 3,555 square kilometers. The average depth is 7.1 meters, with the deepest point reaching 15 meters.
