Great Guild Hall

Tours in Great Guild Hall

Have you ever heard about Guilds? Guilds are merchant associations that defend their members' interests and privileges. The Great Guild, a guild for merchants and artisans, operated in Tallinn from the 14th century until 1920, housed in a Gothic building in the historic center known as the Great Guild Hall. Although it might not look very exclusive from the outside, stepping inside reveals a medieval atmosphere in a 365-square-meter hall supported by pillars with intricately carved capitals. The façade is adorned with blind arches and a prominent portal. Considered a typical example of medieval Tallinn architecture, it now houses the Estonian History Museum. Book a tour with us and explore the magnificent city of Tallinn – you won't regret it!
