Tallinn Christmas Market

Duration: 4 days · Countries: 1 · Sights: 10

Tour Description

A magical 4-day winter escape to one of Europe's most beautifully preserved medieval cities. Tallinn is captivating all year round, but at Christmas the Old Town takes on an almost fairy-tale quality — cobbled streets glowing with festive lights, the scent of mulled wine in the air and a warmth that belies the winter chill.

The first full day brings a guided walk through the heart of the Old Town, taking in Toompea Castle, the Dome Cathedral and the ornate Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in the Upper Town, before descending to the Lower Town's St. Nicholas Church, the medieval Old Town Hall and the Great Guild Hall. The tour ends at the festive Christmas Market on Old Town Hall Square, where unique local gifts and seasonal treats await. The afternoon offers an optional guided tour of the Old Town's design boutiques and art galleries, followed by an evening performance at the Estonian Theatre or the European Christmas Festival.

The second day invites a visit to Kadriorg Park and KUMU, Estonia's award-winning art museum, before a free afternoon to explore Tallinn at your own pace and a warm farewell dinner at the legendary Restaurant Maikrahv.

With its medieval charm, vibrant festive spirit and thriving arts scene, Tallinn at Christmas is an experience not to be missed.
