New Year in Poland

Duration: 5 days · Countries: 1 · Sights: 11

Tour Description

Two of Poland's most storied cities, one long New Year weekend – this 5-day journey pairs the resilient grandeur of Warsaw with the timeless medieval beauty of Krakow, all wrapped in the warmth of the festive season.

Warsaw sets the stage on the first full day, with a guided tour along the iconic Royal Route and through the meticulously reconstructed Old Town – a remarkable testament to the city's post-war rebirth. The Royal Castle, St John's Cathedral and the historic Market Square each tell a chapter of Poland's turbulent and triumphant story, while the optional afternoon excursion to the Royal Lazienki Park and its elegant Palace on the Water offers a serene counterpoint.

A morning train ride through the sweeping Central Polish plains brings you to Krakow, the royal capital that time never quite left behind. An afternoon sightseeing tour takes in St. Mary's Church, the Jagiellonian University, the iconic Cloth Halls and the magnificent Wawel – its castle and cathedral rising above the city as they have for centuries. The day builds to a memorable crescendo: an unforgettable New Year Gala dinner to welcome the year ahead in style.

New Year's Day begins gently, with a free morning before an optional guided tour of Krakow's beloved Christmas Market – where nativity displays, traditional stalls and centuries-old customs bring the festive spirit to life one last time.
