Originated in the late 13th century, the Warsaw‘s Old Town Market Place is still, to this day, the heart of Warsaw. The Old Town Market Place is also the oldest part of the Warsaw‘s old town, the capital of Poland. After being blown up during the World War II, the Old Town Market Place was restored and now looks better than ever. It is surrounded by Renaissance-era style buildings and each of them has a significan meaning to the history of Poland. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to visit, most of them offer outside seating on warm days. In the middle of the square stands the Mermaid Statue, which is a symbol of Warsaw.
