Poland has always been like a cousin to the three Baltic states, so if you want to be sure that you’ve gotten the most out of this region – you will have a great time taking the Best of Poland and the Baltics in 13 days tour. Krakow is a historically crucial city of the region, a former capital of Poland and the city your amazing journey will start in. You will tour the incredible Wavel architectural complex, the place where the former kings used to live and will have enough time to get the most of the old town and the wonders of the Polish cuisine. After exploring the treasures of Krakow, even more of them will wait in the fabulous streets of Warsaw. Here you will be in awe of the beauty of the colorful old town, and learn a lot about the fascinating history of this city. Your last stop before the Baltics will be in Mragowo, a city built between some of the most gorgeous lakes in Poland. Now, the jewels of Poland may capture your heart, however, the Baltics has a perfect highlight portfolio to match it. Once you will visit the magnificent Baroque-dominated old town of Vilnius, you will take the Lithuanian capital for granted. Afterwards, you will continue to the magical scenery of Riga, including tons of world famous Art Nouveau architecture masterpieces. The last city you will visit will be a dynamic Estonian capital, Tallinn. It is almost impossible to resist the amazing medieval architecture, next to the modern high-rising buildings. What is most fascinating about the city is that Tallinn has got lots of perfect spots to see some absolutely stunning panoramic views of the city! Are you ready for a true adventure in the purest jewels of the Baltics? Let’s go on an unforgettable journey!

The tour agency was unknown to me (i am from South Africa) but from the start I was impressed, ie website info, descriptions, on line communications and pre-tour information – appreciated the info regarding the visa application, It made it possible to deal directly with Baltic Tours. Thus not necessary to work through a 3rd party. (On line payment was initially a bit of an issue but solved by another way.) The hotels (location and quality) were good of which some were excellent. We were a mix of language groups travelling together but well catered for in terms of language preferences. Professional guides- those from Baltic Vision (language & handling “demands” and diverse people) as well as locally. .Never experienced unwillingness to share information. The buses used and drivers were also good. Excursions were guaranteed even if a low number of persons was interested. Enough free time for those wanting to do things at their own leisure.

We had a very nice trip with Baltic. These countries and Poland are very beautiful. Congratulations.

The tour was well organised and well coordinated. However two nights in each town except Riga is a bit too short to explorethe city.

Provided that you agree with two design objectives, the Baltic Jewels tour is excellent. First, this is not a tour that books every moment of your time. Baltic Tours provides the essential skeleton for a great tour: they handle lodging and itinerary. They provide a multi-lingual guide who travels with you the whole trip and city overview guides for each city. That leaves considerable time unscheduled. You can fill it yourself if you like to poke around at your own pace or schedule side trips on your own. They also provide numerous optional trips at an extra cost if you don’t want to do things on your own. For us, this was a perfect compromise between trying to devise a long trip entirely on our own or being managed like 2nd graders the whole time. The second tour objective to be aware of is that this tour provides an overview not a detailed study. In 10 days (not counting the arrival or departure days) you visit four countries and 5 major cities. Even though the countries are small, there is considerable travel time on the coaches. There is not a lot of time to explore any one place. But, to repeat, if you like these objectives, it’s a great tour.
Baltic Tours booked very good hotels in every city, mostly Radisson Blu four star. Always clean, modern and well located. City guides were very good-to-excellent. They tried hard to give good overviews and insights in the limited time available. As noted, there were several long days of travel by coach, but Baltic Tours tried hard to break up the travel by finding worthwhile places to visit en route.
