Kemeri National Park

Established in 1997, Kemeri National Park, located near the popular Baltic resort city of Jurmala, Latvia, is the country's third-largest national park, covering an expansive 381.65 km². Encompassing nearly 60% forested area and 25% bogs, including the notable Great Kemeri Bog, the park is a diverse natural haven. Protecting renowned natural mineral springs and therapeutic muds, Kemeri played a key role in the development of resorts, spas, and sanatoriums in the 19th century. Today, these healing resources are utilized in nearby Kemeri town's health resorts.
